Strength & Flexibility

A Hatha Yoga class is an amazing practice to find harmony within your physical body. The classes are designed to develop a perfect balance between your strength and your flexibility. Working on your body and on your mind while holding postures (asana) for a few seconds.

Yin Yoga

Flexibility & Relaxation

A Yin Yoga class is a slow-paced practice where one holds position for a few minutes. Letting the weight of your own body and the gravity of the earth bring you deeper into the posture (asana). The stretch will be felt in the connective tissue while you remain still. As you are not actively working with your body, the practice gives you time to work with your mind. Concentrating on the sensations that might arise in your body and mainly concentrating on your breathing. Leaving you with a deep feeling of relaxation at the end of the class.

Relaxation & Concentration

Pranayama literally means the control of the breath (vital force). It is practiced through a variations of breathing techniques, retention of air and some cleansing practices (shatkarma). By focusing on our breath, we become fully present in the moment, a state of mindfulness and concentration are developped through the practice.

My Yoga Journey

I'm a 500 RYT yoga teacher, certified by Yoga Alliance, who has been teaching since 2020.

I discovered Yoga through my first 200 hours certification in Goa, India in 2019. I wanted to learn about the practice not from a movement perspective (asana) but also well through the others dimensions of Yoga. Learning about breathing techniques (pranayama), meditations (dhayana), as well as the history and the philosophy lying underneath what we called Yoga.

I understood that the asana (movement) were a way to be able to reach higher state of consciousness by preparing our body and mind for meditation. So I went to follow a Vipassana retreat where I followed the instruction of S.N. Goenka to learn more about what meditation was all about.

I started teaching here and there in my travels around the globe and mainly in Egypt where I resided for almost 2 years... Seeing the various positive effects that the practice of Yoga had not only on my mind and my body but as well on my students, I decided to get deeper into the path of Yoga.

In November 2022, I went to Nepal to complete my formation and obtain a 300 hours certification in Sanatana Yoga. A very classical form of Hatha yoga designed to build our physical, mental, emotional and sprititual wellness...

 

I'm eager to share my love for this beautiful practice with you !

Aligning With Yourself

Every class is designed with love and care to be sure all of the students will feel a sense of well-being.

Even though we are practicing in group, a focus would be put in not allowing comparison inside the class. Everyone is different, having a unique history and specific muscles and bones structures. Hence, I'm making sure that all the needed variations are guided into class to benefit every students and allowing everyone to feel comfortable.

Sharing the love of Yoga together but practicing within ourself with our unique body.

Whether you want a Hatha , a Yin or a mixed class, we will work together to create a session that best fits your desires.

All session include breathing exercises and end with a guided Savasana (resting pose).

Whether you want to organize a special retreat or you need a teacher for your events, I would be delighted to work with you.

I'm experienced in working in different settings (retreats, festivals, events) with people from all over the world, I can easily read the needs of the group and adapt the class as we flow into the practice.

 

Everyone brings his own mat and we are ready to start moving, nothing more needed.
